Corn Bread, or cornbread, is an American specialty that is eaten especially during the holidays like Thanksgiving or Christmas. It's soft, a little sweet, made with cornmeal and spices, personally I love it! Here is the recipe that I make every year at this season, you can also freeze it and reheat it 5 min at 180 ° C later.
125 g of cornmeal
125 g flour
100 g of melted butter
250 ml of fermented milk (or yogurt)
2 tbsp of honey
1 egg
50 g of blond sugar (if you like the sweet side)
1/2 pinch of fleur de sel
1 tsp. teaspoon of spices (4 spices or cinnamon, or gingerbread spices)
1 teaspoon of baking powder
